A shocking fatality occurred at Trentham late yesterday afternoon, when an ex-soldier patient of Trentham military hospital was run over by a train, and was so badly mutilated that his identity could not be established. Several of the patients had been to Wellington-to attend a football match, and were not expected to return until late. It was proposed theq. to call the roll and see who was missing.
DECEASED IDENTIFIED.

The soldier killed on the railway at Trentham yesterday has been identified as IBarry Fry, who was a native of Devonshire, England, with no relatives in New Zealand. He had been an inmate of the hospital since June last.
