THE DAIRYING SEASON.
BEST EXPERIENCED FOR TEARS.
PRICES " FLY IN THE OINTMENT."
It is agreed on all sides that the present is the most • remarkable season that Waikato has experienced for many years past; indeed, the conditions have never been as favourable so late in the autumn within living memory-
Chatting to a Waipa Post reporter, a well-known dairy farmer said thait ail the years he had been on the land near Te Awamutu he could remember nothing like this season. "It is the best autumn season for milking we have ever had," he unhesitatingly declared, adding that the pastures remained marvellously well. They maintained their spring-like.freshness, the growth being phenomenal. The result was a prodigality of good feed. In these circumstances stock would face the coming winter in good condition. This was a particularly happy augury, as the stock would start the ensuing season under more favourable circumstances than heretofore. The abnormal season has compensated a great deal for the fall, in prices. "It won't fully cover us, but it will go a long way toward helping us out of the trouble," concluded our informant.
