SALE DAY BALLOT.

POSTPONED FOE ONE WEEK.

PROCEDURE TO BE DISCUSSED

It is understood that, the ballot on the sale day question at Te Awamutu, which was to have been taken at the saleyards this morning has been postponed for one week, and that an announcement to this effect will be made at the yards to-day. Discussing the question with one of the Thursday advocates this morning a Post representative was informed that the postponement was to enable the Saturday and Thursday advocates to meet together next week to seek agreement upon questions of procedure. The notice given by way of a warning, said our informant, suggests that should the Thursday stale be favoured at the ballot an effort will be made to prove breach of an implied agreement that was given at the first ballot. That being the case, we should seek to arrive at some common understanding between the parties regarding procedure.
