CLOTHES AND JEWELLERY

STOLEN.

AUCKLAND, Friday.

An unpleasant experience befell Mr J. H. Bradney, of 8, Sherwood Road, Mt. Eden. The family were in the rear rooms of the house and the front was left in darkness. When Mr Bradney went to his room he found that it had been visited during the evening and that the entrant had broken into the wardrobe and taken all the clothing therein. The burglar had also taken the comb and brushes from the dressing table, and in addition taken about £SO worth of jewellery from Misls Bradney's room. So far no trace has been discovered as to the whereabouts of the missing articles.

ROBBERIES AT WANGANUI

WANGANUI, Friday.

Evidently some undesirables, taking advantage of the races, have been operating in Wanganui. During the l'ast two days s'everal houses have been burglariously 'entered and various articles stolen. Last evening at a boardinghouse a lodger lost £l6 10s, taken from a room while be was sleeping.

SAFE BROKEN OPEN

WANGANUI, This Day.

The police received news yesterday that the whare of a Maori named Hautapa, at Taringamutu, fourteen miles from Taumarunui, wan entered, and a safe broken into some time between Monday and Thursday. The sum of £ISOO was stolen. The money included 123 sovereigns and £4O in silver, and the balance was in notes.
