Christchurch had a rat drive on Sunday, ih which 20 men with hounds and ferrets, and armed with waddlestook part. The chief inspector, district health officer, the town clerk, arid two councillors were members of the party, and some exciting hours were spent in raids on Tattersall’s Horse Bazaar and the rubbish tip. The sum total of their operations was — one rat. two mice, and one dog poisoned.
