IT is proposed to erect a Monument to the Memory of the Fallen Soldiers in the Kihikihi District, and a canvass for funds will be made on or about WEDNESDAY, 11th January, 1922, in the Kihikihi, Parawera, Tokanui, Te Mawhai, Ngahape, Korakonui, and Wharenuhunga Districts. THE following arrangements have been made by the business people of Te Awamutu for the Christmas and New Year Holidays:— The half holiday in Christmas'week will be observed on WEDNESDAY, 21st December. ' Christmas Eve will be observed on SATURDAY, 24th December, until 10 p.m. The following MONDAY and TUESDAY premises will be closed, and will re-open on WEDNESDAY, 28th December. In New Year week, in accordance with the Act, the usual half holiday will be observed on SATURDAY, 31st December.
