SOLICITORS’ TRUST ACCOUNTS

WELLINGTON, Monday
The Appeal Court opened its sessions to-day. The only case heard was one under the Law Practitioners Act in re H. E. Elliott, defendant, solicitor, of Opotiki, who had not had his trust accounts audited for three years. A rule nisi ordering him to he struck off the roll was obtained by the New Zealand Law Society, and he was ordered to pay a fine of £SO. The Court now discharged the rule nisi (as Elliott has since had his accounts audited and found correct), provided, he paid the costs of the Law Society and the £SO fine.
