FOR EVERLASTING.
Vivian (Florence Reed) is thought to be a mountain girl by Cleaver Makeway, a student in a near by college and heedless of the advice of his friend Goode, neglects his studies because of the desire awakened in him by the woman. He is alternatively swayed by the girl and his friend, and the latter is finally triumphant. The young fellow emerges from college a student,- critic and essayist, his friend becomes a clergyman and the girl returns to society where she really belongs. Vivian in turn seeks happiness with a champion pugilist, Bob Dempey; with Pierre Berne a musician; Edmund Actor a famous actor; Ned Coign a rich young man about town; and Richard Powers a powerful man in the world of finance. Tired of them all and sickened at the life she and other society women lead, she becomes under the influence of Goode, now a prominent city minister and worker among the slums—and the soul of the Magdalene is aroused and as far as possible she endeavours to undo the evil by a life of self-sacri-fice. This picture is to be screened at the Empire Theatre on Saturday.
