A UNANIMOUS DISTRICT. FOR, 359 ; AGAINST, 0. Although all returns have now been received by the returning officer (Mr D. T. B. McArthur) in connection with last Wednesday’s - Electric Power Board loan the checking of the votes recorded is not yet completed owing to the distance of the polling places not permitting the ready return of the voting papers. For this reason the poll cannot yet be officially declared.
