HAMILTON REGATTA.

ANNIVERSARY DAY EVENTS Record rowing ' entries have been received for the Hamilton Regatta, to he held on January 29, as many aa ten crews being entered in one race. The sum of £lll is to be given away in prize money for rowing races, of which the principal is the Senior Challenge Fours (£45 and Challenge Cup), in which six members of the famous New Zealand eights which were very successful in Europe, will be competing. D. C. Hadfield, who was also very successful in Single sculling in Europe, winning the Diamond Sculls (Amateur Championship of Europe) and other races will compete in the Single Sculls Handicap race. A Tug-o-war for teams of six en prize £5, will be very interesting, while swimming races also take a place in the programme.

Won by two lengths. Time, 4 1.35. Racing Club Handicap: Amythas 1, Oratress 2, Snub 3. Scratched: Surveyor, Kilrush, Paddington Green. Won by a length, two and a half lengths' separating second and third. Time 2.21.
