ARBOR DAY.
TO THE EDITOR. Slß,—Schools under the jurisdiction of the Auckland Education Board are invited to celebrate Arbor Day to-morrow, or on one other day during this month. As the new cemetery will need to be planted with ornamental trees and shrubs, I have pleasure in suggesting that the Town Board provide suitable trees, havs the holes dug and manure provided, in order that the school children may, by invitation of that governing body, be marched to the grounds and directed' in the actual planting. The teachers will be pleased to have the cooperation of parents in this important work. —I am, etc.,.. F. D. Wood, Headteacher.
