BEAULIVRE BEATEN TWICE BIG TOTALISATOR FIGURES AT AUCKLAND. After winning the King’s Plate at the summer meeting of the Auckland Racing Club, Beaulivre was beaten by Beau Yite in the Great Northern Derby on Monday, and again in the Clifford Plate yesterday. These defeats provided the sensation of the holiday racing. Royal Appellant, a good bet, got home by a short head in the Auckland Racing Club Handicap, Catalogue and De Friend running a dead heat for second' place. Gladyncv won the Nathan Memorial, with Balinavar (a 9/9 bet) second. The totalisator returns for the A.R.C. meeting 1 showed an increase of £50,000 on the four days lost year. HASTINGS RACES. Despite the fact that the H.B. Jockey Club had good acceptances and perfect weather for racing the totalisator returns for their summer meeting showed a decrease of £5026 10s as compared with last year. Granvale won the New Year Handicap on the first day, with Yogi second. On the second day Gay Mimic appropriated the President’s Handicap, with Yogi again in second position. OTHER RESULTS. Windsor Chief, who started eighth favorite, won the Marton Cup, Mishna being runner-up. A favorite in Globe Trotter won the Wairarapa Cup, Siegmund second. On the second clay of the Wairarapa meeting Rarotonga won the President’s Handicap, Siegmund again running second. Notium was first home in the Stratford Cup, with Bronze Step second.
