The Master Fish Merchants’ Asso ciation of Sydney has asked member to boycott potatoes. The secretary of the association said that member would unanimously observe the boy cott. “Fishmongers have to pay a

much as £3O a ton for Australian potatoes,” he added. “In New Zealand potatoes are £4 a ton. Because of the absurd embargo in Australia on New Zealand potatoes, we cannot buy them. Special, Is Gd. —Bryant’s.* Owing to the unfavorable weather during the greater part of the growing season, the wheat harvest in the Canterbiuy district is late, and there are indications of a lower total yield this year. So far the samples of wheat are of excellent character, with many lines showing a low moisture content. A wet autumn held up sowings, and rather more spring wheat was put in than usual. In some districts high winds and hail caused damage to the crops.

A message from Dunedin state? that the Johnson quadruplets have entered a children’s rest home for a short stay while Mi’s Johnson takes a much-needed holiday. Allan and Elliott were appointed to represent the Charge at a meeting J the Hawke’s Bay Presbytery to >e held in Napier on February 14th.
