MINISTERIAL VISIT.

TO WAIPAWA HON. R, SEMPLE TO-MORROAV EVENING. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public AA'orks and Transport, will pay an official visit to AA’aipawa to-mor-row, and in the evening will deliver an address in the Municipal Theatre. This will take the form of a story of progress in the Public AA’orks Department, and will be illustrated by motion pictures, to give an idea of the part that modern machinery is likely to play in the future development of the country. Mr Semple and party arrived at Napier from AA’ellington last evening and this morning was devoted to a tour of the Esk Valley. This evening Mr Semple will deliver an address at Hastings, and to-morrow morning will meet a deputation of Clive settlers to discuss the position arising out of the floods. The party will come on to AA’aipawa in the afternoon and will meet a deputation from the Borough Council, particularly in reference to the new traffic bridge and the State highway through the Borough. After his address in the theatre tomorrow evening Mr Semple will be entertained to supper by the local branch of the Labor Party and their friends. Gentlemen will be charged one shilling for admission, ladies free. The Ministerial party comprises the Hon. R. Semple, Mrs Semple, Mrs Jennings, Mrs Sutton, Mr Johnson, and Mr Grover. They will stay at the Empire Hotel to-morrow evening and leave on AVednesday morning for AA’ellington.
