THOUSAND DAMAGES

SEQUEL TO MOTOR FATALITY. NAPIER, This day. Damages for the plaintiff for the sum of £IOOO were fixed by a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday, in an accident claim for £2520 brought by a widow for the death of her husband in a motor accident. The evidence in the case was heard on Wednesday. Yesterday morning counsel addressed the jupy and his Honor, Mr Justice Reed, delivered his summing-up. The claim was for £2O funeral expenses and £2500 general damages, and was brought by Margaret Jessie Boyce (Mr H. B. Lusk and Air C. W. Nash) for the death of her husband, Leslie Clive Boyce, in a motor accident at Whakatu on July 16th last year.
