LONDON, May 22. The weather was fine and cool for the opening of the match between Surrey and the Australians at the Oval. The attendance was 18,000. Bradman won the toss and decided to bat, and at stumps on the first day Australia had lost five wickets for 432 runs. Bradman made 143, Brown 96, Hassett 65 (not out). RESULTS OF TOUR.
