A PATRIOTIC MOVEMENT. SUPPORT BY THE GOVERNORGENERAL. WELLINGTON, This day. “A ‘Use More Wool’ campaign is about to be launched in this Dominion,” said His Excellency the Gover-nor-General, Lord Bledisloe, at the opening of the Fanners’ Union conference, yesterday, “and I would earnestl commend its patriotic objects to every New Zealander who loves his country and prays for an early return to better times. “May not patriotic duty be in this case conducive to greater health and comfort? Surely our hospitals would be less full (and for a healthy country they are extensively and expensively patronised if woollen garments were substituted for many of those made of more flimsy imported material. I make no apology for addressing you to-day dressed entirely from my tie to my shoes inclusive in the products of New Zealand and made in New Zealand factories and sold in New Zealand shops.”
