There was a terrible collision at Ludenburg, where the. Berlin-Vicnna express, at a great speed, crashed into a goods train, which was on the wrong siding. There are twenty-four dead, including eight still under the wreckage. Eighty-three were injured and three are not expected to recover. M. Avereson, Rumanian statesman, had the narrowest escape. He left the wrecked car for the dining car a minute before the disaster.
