Where Joan of Arc Died
The city of Rouen is transforming the corner of the market-place where Joan of Arc was burned. The corner has always been very shabby, one of the wretchedest spots in the world for so sacred a place.
Now the site is to be cleared and a new statue of Joan set up. There is a movement for offering a copy of the statue to King George.
