The adjourned meeting of the Waipawa District High School Committee will be held this evening at 7 o ’clock.

Forty-two rinks (a record number) have entered for the East Coast Centre’s bowling tournament at Napier during the Easter holidays. Supporters of the Plunket Society in Waipawa and district are notified that the annual general meeting will be held in the Borough Chambers on Friday, 22nd inst., at 3 p.m. His Worship the Mayor will preside. It is notified by advertisement in this issue that the Plunket rooms will be closed for the Easter holidays from Friday to Monday, both days inclusive. The rest room will be open as usual.

The first term of the woodwork class under the tuition of Mr J. Riddlestis drawing to a close, and it behoves all who are interested in learning how to make their own furniture to take the opportunity of joining up with the class for the next term, which begins on Tuesday, the 19th inst. It is both surprising and gratifying to see some of the work that is turned out by the students of the class, and it would be advisable for anyone interested to go along on class night and see the work. The fee of £1 per quarter is very well spent, and the instructor or the secretary (Mr,E. E. Bott) will be pleased to give any particulars regarding instruction. This class is a very great asset to Waipawa, and we should do all we can to further its usefulness.
