A NEW DEPARTMENT.
(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This day. The •separation of industries and commerce from the Department of Agriculture and established as a Department of Industries and Commerce has been followed by the allotment of the new portfolio to the Hon. E. P. Lee. The Board of Trade, of which Mr Lee is president and Mr W. G. McDonald chairman, has been incorporated with the new department. Mr J. W. Collins, secretary to the Board of Trade, has been appointed secretary of the new department.
