WEDDING BELLS.
PATERSON—CAMPBELL. The Presbyterian Church, Waipawa, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Jessie Campbell, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Campbell, of Aramoana, was joined in the bonds of matrimony witli Mr John Paterson, son of Mr J. Paterson, Seadown, Temuka. The marriage service was conducted by the Rev. Mr Mclnnes, of Waipukurau, the bride being given away by her father. She was becomingly attired in a dress of white satin with Georgette overdress, and wore tile customary wreath of orange blossoms. Miss McHardy, of Blackhead, was the chief bridesmaid. Her dress was of mauve, with Georgette. Both bride and bridesmaid earned beautiful shower bouquets. The bride’s sister and brother, tiny tots, were in attendance, the latter dressed as page boy. Mrs Campbell, the bride’s mother, was attired in a dress of pale grey voile, with hat to match. Mr Leslie Lamer, of Auckland, officiated as best man.
After the ceremony the bridal party and numerous guests sat down to the wedding breakfast laid at Morley’s, and subsequently Mr and Mrs Paterson left by car en route for the south, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Many very useful and handsome presents were received by the bride and bridegroom, the list including- a number of cheques.
