THE RUSSIAN HOPE.
KORNILOFF CONFIDENT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, August 19. British headquarters reports that Sir Douglas Haig has received a telegram from General Korniloff stating that he is convinced that on the reestablishment of strict discipline the Russian armies will devote all their powers at an early date to assist the effort of the Allies towards the attain-
ment of the common object.
