A V.C.
WEST COAST MINER HONORED. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This day. Lance-Corporal Samuel Frickleton, a New Zealander who has been awarded the V.C., is a West Coast miner. His mother resides at Blackball. He is aged 26 and served with the Fifth Reinforcements. He re-enlisted and left with the Fifteenth Reinforcements, and was wounded at Messines. He had four brothers who have been in the army. One was killed and another wounded. The Defence Minister yesterday sent n telegram congratulating Mrs Frickleton mi the honor gained by her son.
