FAREWELL SOCIAL TO MR BRADLEY. One of those pleasant little social gatherings for which the Tamumu people have achieved an enviable . putation took place in Mr Kittow’, wool-shed last evening, it being niad t the occasion of a farewell to Mr and Mrs E. Bradley. There was a very large attendance, including a strong j representation from Waipawa. j-| r interior of the building was tastefully decorated with ferns and Hags, and presented a cosy appearance. r j’|J floor was in fine order, and the dance! music supplied by Miss Gasson w a J excellent. Mr and Mrs G. McKay I played several extras. At suitable in*.l tervals in the dancing vocal it eifl| | were contributed by Miss Clare MorJ oney, Miss Whittington, and ||„| Tamumu Glee Club. Shortly after supper, which by (J way was a tribute to the industry I the ladies, Mr Siinmonds, who oflicj.l ated as M.C. during the evening (. x .l pressed the regret of the settkrsjj the Tamumu district at losing MranJ Mrs Bradley, and said they could dJ be allowed to depart without some token of the esteem in wliijl they were held. Dr. Deck extended the good wislj of the visitors for the welfare of t J guests of the evening. He pointed oni| that Mr Bradley, in enlisting fJ active service, was making a tremej dous sacrifice for his King and coii] try, breaking up his home and lcav3 his wife, and he was entitled toll t he honor it was possible to sliowerj him.
