TO CAPTURE CARSON. OUR BOYS IN THE WESTERN TRENCHES. BRITISH SUBMARINES IN THE BALTIC. There is nothing fresh from the fighting front in the cables to-day. The arrival of the New Zealanders in the trenches is recorded, and our hoys are now doing their bit on the west front. Sir Edward Carson had a narrow escape from being kidnapped by the Sinn Feiners during Easter, their plan only miscarrying by the merest chance. The fact of German destroyers and torpedo boats convoying ammunition ships in the Baltic indicates that there will be something doing in the north before long, hut the presence of British submarines is apparently causing some uneasiness.
