KRUPPS’ NEWEST GUN.
A special correspondent of the “Daily Express,” who has paid a visit to Krupps’, in referring 1 to a new quick-firing revolver gun described to him by a workman, says: —He told me that he would get shot if anyone knew that he had spoken about them, as he was working in the shop where they were being manufactured. Still, as I was employed in the works, he did not see why he could not tell me some particulars of the new g-un which was to enable his comrades to break through the ring of trenches on the Yser, take Calais, and so strike at the “Gemiene Englander” (“Low Englishmen”). The calibre of the gun was 3.scm.—nearly l£in. It could he fired at the rate of 050 rounds a minute, and had a special cooling device. It would far outrange the machine-guns of the English. It could be carried by two men, and had no wheels, hut was worked on a tripod. Nearly fifty of the guns were completed, and a further 200 would soon follow.
