EXCHANGE RATE.
A FINANCIAL PROBLEM. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) PARIS, April 17. “Le Matin” states that the rate of exchange in London and Paris has recently risen to 29 francs. It is reacting unfavorably on French trade and the Government, which is purchasing largely in Britain. M. Ribot conferred with Mr McKenna with a view to arranging to improve the situation.
