After a conference with Mr Borden it is certain that Sir Wilfr'd Laurier will attend tho Imperial Conference. Mr A. E. Jull was unanimously elected Chairman of the Napier Harbour Board at yesterday’s meeting of that body. Mr Frauk Morton, the well-kuown journalist, is at present lying somewhat seriously ill in a private hospital at Auckland.
Mr J. C. MoVay left for Wellington this morning to attend a meeting of the Racing Commission and assist in preparing their report. The Hou. T. Maoketz e (Minister for Agriculture) will leave Wellington on May 13th for Waipawa and Hawke’s Ray. He has consented to open the Auckland winter show about May 20tb, and the Dunedin show iu June.
