There is an extraordinary South African exodus to witness the Coronation. It is estimated that some 600 Auckland residents will be in London for the Coronation.
As a result of penny postage the English mail from Sydney and Melbourne showed an increase of 50 per oeut. The miners at Touypandy, Wales, oaptured a non-unionist aDd attired him in a white shirt, compelling him to parade the streets in drenching rain, amid the jeering crowds. The polioe rescued him.
Representatives of the licensed victuallers from all parts of the Dominion met at Wellington, on Thursday, and took the preliminary steps towards arranging a plan of campaign at the next local option poll.
