MISSING GRAVE DISCOVERED.

A LOST BISHOP AT ST. PANCRAb Dr T. 11. Tristram, K.C., Chancellor of the Diocese of London, on fith December held a special sitting of tho Consistory Court of London (says the." Westminster Gazette”) to hear an application for permission to remove from St. Pancras Burialground to the chapel of the Theological College of St. Edmund’s at Ware the remains of a Roman Catholic Bishop. Mr Wright, who appeared on behalf of the petitioner, M. Bernard Ward, Principal of the College, said that when a grave was opened on 3rd October for tho purpose of removing tho remains of Bishops Bonaventure Gifiard and Andrew Gifford another cofiin, containing the body of Bishop Douglas, was also found. Considerable search had been made for many years past to discover the resting-place of the late Bishop, but it was not until this grave was opened that the body was found. He was buried in 1812, at tho age of sixty-nine, and there was ample record of his history in connection with the college, and the fact of his death, none of the registers of St. Pancras Parish Church, or the Parish Church of St. Andrew's, Holborn, contained any record of the burial. Mons. Bernard Ward said Bishop Douglas was a Bishop of the Roman Communion from 1790 to 1812. The College was originally at Douay, in France, and ho was regarded as its founder at Ware, in England. The Chancellor decreed the faculty on condition that the Home Secretary's licence be obtained.;
