The Waipukurau Road Board ad yesterday, Mr J. O’Neill (chairman)p» siding. Other members present wereMeesrs Merrikon, McKay, Morrii, mi Williamson.
Mr Morris moved as per notice gives, “ That this present Road Board rewioi all motions and transactions *)Dteni into by the late members in offioe, i» eluding the proposed grant of £2OO towards the extension of tbe M road.” He eaid tbe majority of eettl« were against it and the small nuok of settlers who would benefit not warrant the expenditure. Ho* time or other the road would have to b* made, but that time had notyetarriwi —The chairman, in seconding the motin drew the Board’s attention to tbe id* which had been struck, so as to them to balauce their finance. The aitendment was supported by Mr McK«J and carried. Mr Merrikon moved—“ That *" water-tables in tho district be done hf contract.
