Mr R L Borden, Leader of the Oppolition in the Canadian Parliament, when iddressing his constituents referred to he “ all red ” mail route. He urged
caution in the matter, on the ground that not one per centum of Canadians crossed the Atlantic yoarly, while 75 por
centum were interested iu freight rates and oold storage. The best possible passenger service was desirable, but not at the expanse of farmers and producers, or of trade with the Motherland.
