Mining and Murder.

LONDON, Jan* 7.
The trial is proceeding at Boise City, Idaho, of Torn Moyer, president, aud William Haywood, secretary, of the Miners’ Federation on a charge of murdering ex Governor Steunenberg. Harry Orchard confessed that he was promised 3000 dollars to kill St9unsnberg. He (Orchard) tied a bomb to Steunenbarg’s gate, and it exploded with fatal results. Orchard planned twenty-six murders for the “ Inner Circle’* of the Western Foderatiou of Miners.
Orchard also testified that at Haywood’s instance he aud Stave Adams
wrecked tho Providence railway station, in order to provent a split in tha Miners’ Convention by providing a oounter-ex-oitement, when 12 or 14 persons were killed by the explosion. Later he asked Haywood for 300 dollars, and Hayward sent the sum through Pettibone, whilo Adams received 200 dollars. Orchard narratod how tho murder of a dotootive
was planned by Pettibone, who paid him £IOO. Moyer and Haywood paid him
in connection with tho fatal mine-wreck ing. Pettibone paid him to kill Stounenberg, and also for his fruitlojs endei-
vours to kill the Public Pro-ecutor for thwarting the Western Miners’ Federation’s plans.
