(Waipukurau Correspondent). The annual meeting of the Waipukurau Cricket Club was hold < n Tuosday evening, Dr Godfray in the chair. Tho annual report and balance sheet wore read and adopted. The report showed the club to huvo had a vory satisfactory and successful year, the income being £47 12s lOd, expenditure £42 12s lOd, leaviog a balauce of £5 to commence the season with. The report congratulated the A team on its winning tho Hunter Shield and also its splendid performance of playing through the season without a defeat. The experiment of having u B team also proved very satisfactory and served tho purpose of showing the number of promising players who can be looked forward to in maintaining the reputation of the club. The best batting average for the season was *hat of Mr Bogle, the best bowling Mr W. A. Chambers. The office-bearers wore elected as follows President, Mr Geo. Hunter; vice-presidents, Messrs J. W. Harding, R. Coneys, Dr Godfray, J. J. Bailey, E. Gilbertson, L. MoHardy and H. M. Sanders ; secretary and treasurer, Mr G.

new members wero elected. As the employment of a curotakor of the groon proved unsatisfactory it was resolved to employ day labour in tho future. It was resolved to open tho season on tho 10th October by a match between the married and single membeis of tho Club. A special vote of thanks was accorded to Mr F. Bailey, the past secretary, who had so faithfully carried out his duties for tho Club for so many years. Also to Mr R. Coneys for his generosity and liberality to the Club
