Domain Board.
A meeting of the Domain Board was held yesterday morning. Present Messrs E. Bibby (chairman), W. Rathbone and A. Scrimgeour. An application was received from the promoters of the Recreation Ground Company, to lease tho river bod reserve. Mr A. K. Jull attended the meeting and stated that Mr LoughnaD and himself had been appointed a deputation to wait upon the Board and explain the proposals of the company. Mr Loughnan had mistaken the hour of meeting, and he would ask that the matter should bo postponed until a further date. A discussion of a conversational nature ensued, and those present expressed an opinion that the matter should be left uutil a full meeting of the Board could be obtained. Eventually on the motion of Mr Bibby seconded by Mr
Raii. on., tho following resolution w&, agrn ( 1 to:—“That tho promoters of the coin > .ny for leasing tue recreation ground bo requested to prepare a draft of their proposals, such draft ;to be submitted to t meeting of tire Board to be held on Monday, 16 it October at 10.30 a.m.
