HOUSE OF REPRKSENTATIVES. Wellington, This day The Supplementary Estimates were passed without much alteration. Mr Tannnr called for a division on the item £3,000 grant to the widow and daughter of the late Mr Ballance, the vote being retained by 32 to 5 (Tanner, Taylor, T. Thompson, Lawry, Houston). £IOO was struck off the item of £403, payment of expenses incurred by Inspector Drummond. Mr Seddon said he hoped to finish the business to-night. The House rose at 5.45.
