Waipawa District School.

Mr Hill, Inspector of Schools, finished his examination of Waipawa District School, with the exception of the subjects of grammar and geography in Standard TV., and military drill, calisthenics, for the whole school, yesterday afternoon at 5 p.m. Those subjects he intends taking on Tuesday afternoon next. The following extract is his record of his visit, taken from the official Dog Book : — ll Examined this school yesterday and to-day, when 197 pupils were in attendance. The school continues in admirable working order, and a capital tone pervades the management. The results will be sent to tl e Committee in the course of a few days.—(Signed)— H. Hill, Inspector of Schools.” We understand that Mr Hill in future will give three days to the examination of this important central school, instead of two days as in the past, lie finding it impossible to examine the number of subjects taught, io the time he has hitherto set apart for its inspection.
