At Bolton County Court the judge gnve a verdict for £‘2 l iigninst John Gill, of Horwieh, near Bolton, for shooting a pigeon. The pigeon was a noted prize-winner, and the owner proved that he ha i been offered £2O f« r it. Influenza has made its appearance amongst horses iu Devonshire, England. The Shire horse, •‘l’m the sort,*’ recently purchased at the Loudon Horse Show for 1,000 guineas by Mr. Punchurd, of Uourton Hull, Totiuu, h.x, died from the attack, after a week* a illness.
