Hampden School Committee.
[own correspondent.] The usual monthly meeting of the district school committee took place on Wednesday evening lust. Present: Messrs Buchanan (chairman), Parkinson, Ilallasey, and Scarrott (secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read— From the Education Board, dealing with business of Mr G. J. J. Buchanan, the pupil-teacher. Also a communication asking the chairman to make up the balance sheet by the tho 15th January and not later. The chairman pointed out that lie had paid up all accounts owing and had a balance of £3 19s 5d on hand. Messrs Buchanan and Ilallasey were appointed visitors for the ensuing month. The committee nominated Messrs Sidey, Harding, and J. J. Buchanan for tho vacant seats on the Education Board A vote of thanks to the chairman c. _ .cd the meeting.
