Danevirke Town Board.

At an adjourned monthly meeting of the Board, the following members were present : Messrs M. Henderson (chair), D. McCu'lum, H. Carlsou, and R. E. Rasmussen. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence from the Waipawa Mail,_ in reply to enquiry from the Clerk, explaining an item of 15s.—Sume passed for payment. An account from Woodville Examiner for £s.—Received. The Chairman stated that he had appoin.ed Mr Butler Returning-officer for taking the poll re £6OO on the 22nd inst. Mr Scott’s account of £5 for repairing Miller’s road was passed for payment. The Clerk was instructed to ascertain at what rate the Town Board advertisements could bo inserted in the local papers. THE AMENDED SCHEDULE. As the Board had been informed b} r the Colonial Treasurer that the item of £l5O expenditure on footpaths was not authorised by the Act, and as the special meeting of ratepayers re the loan had left the apportioning of this sum in the hands of the Board, the following amended schedule was adopted :
