The following are tho naiqejj of tfye chjldren who passed at the late examination in Standards V and VI :
Standard V.—Bernard Elliot, Arthur Drower, George Corskie, William Pellow, Ernest Rathboue, Leouard Grenside, George Grant, William Peters, Harry Johnson, Ivatljeen Todd, Elizabeth Guy. Standard Vl—Minnie Bibby, Isabella Guy, Percy B. Arrow, Annie Cowper, Emma Brinson, Margaret CoWper, William St. Clair Inglis. In addition to passing Standard VI., Miss Minnie Bibby, and MissJsubella Guy have been awarded scholarships of the annual value of twenty pounds and tcu-
able for one year and Master William St. Clair Inglis, a scholarship of the annual value of twenty pounds, and tenable for two years, the latter hoading the list of fifty-nine pupils who passed Standard VI in the whole of tho schools in the Hawke’s Bay Educational District having obtained 663 marks out of a possible 700, Miss Minnie Bibby being seventh on the list with 614 marks, and Miss Isabella Guy tenth on the list with 601 marks.
