A Christmas Appeal.

[to the editor.] Sir, —Now that the season is almost upon us when festivity is the order of the day and when it is the time honored custom to specially remember the sick and unfortunate, may I suggest to some of the many readers of your paper that they have a most worthy institution in their midst to whom they may commit any goodwill offerings in the shape of money with perfect certainty that the offering, if in cash, will be well employed in finishing and furnishing the new buildings To those who may have already given in cash, or may not care to do so, let me suggest that a turkey or a goose would not bo an unwelcome addition to the Christmas fore, and the donor would not enjoy his own Christmas dinner any the less for the thought that in some way he had contributed to the happiness of our inmates.— I am, &c., llv. Wilding, Hon. Troas. Wnipawa District Hospital.
