Six Lady Golfers Reduce Their Handicaps

Six members of the Cambridge Ladies' Golf Club earned handicap reductions as a result of play in the May L.G.U. medal match on Wednesday. The senior section was won by Mrs K. S. Browne 88-17-71 on the countback from Mrs K. L. Wilkinson 86-15-71, and both these players have been reduced one stroke. The next best were: Mrs D. L. Hastie 90-15-75, Mrs P. McDiarmid 88-13-75, Mrs F. H. Hardy 91-16-75. An excellent round of 95-28-67 won the junior grade for Mrs R. Bell and her handicap is now 23. Runner-up was Mrs T. Worthing 106-36-70, and she, too, has been reduced the maximum to 34. Miss J. Sayers and Mrs J. T. Gilkison both had rounds of 96-25-71, which brought their handicaps down to 24. Other good scores were: Miss N. Needham 90-19-71; Mrs P Skousgaard 98-25-73; Mrs E. A. Morrice 97-24-73; Mrs B. Bromwich 106-31-75; Miss J. Fisher 109-34-75.
