Burglar's Small Haul

Moving an old packing case from behind the W»ikato Independent Office to a convenient position underneath the rear window of the Cambridge Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Limited's office in Duke Street, a burglar gained an entry into the building through the board room window some time during the past few nights. All that was taken was a small amount of money belonging to the secretary, Mr E. J. F. Kennedy. This was kept in a tin in a draw in his office. Nothing else in any part of the building was disturbed. Footmarks on the window sill showed how the intruder made his entry, and then departed by way of the rear door. The police have the matter in hand.
