CARS IN COLLISION

At about 6.45 p.m. on Saturday evening a collision occurred at the filling over Hanlin's Gully on the Hamilton Road between cars driven by William John Hawkes, of Oparakau, MatP-koe, and Thomas Mervyn Wells, of Pukeroro. Both cars were damaged. Mrs Ethel May Hawkes, aged 63y received injuries to the forehead, left arm and right shoulder. She was admitted to the Whitjora Hospital, where she .is still a patient. Mr Hawkes received a gash on the left hand, and Mr Wells sustained bruises. Motor-cyclist Injured Mr Ronald James Harris, of Roto-o-rangi, received injuries to his back last week when the motor cycle he was driving collided with a car driven by Mr R. T. Jury, of Roto-o-rangi. The accident occurred on the Roto-o-rangi Road.
