Cambridge Tennis Club’s Good Year
PROFIT REVEALED AT ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Cambridge Tennis Club was held in the Parish Hall on Monday Evening when the president, Mr J. H. Yolland, presided over an attendance of 21.
It was reported that the club had enjoyed a very successful season as shown by the fact that the year commenced with a credit of £156/6/7 and concluded with a credit of £256/17/7. The Easter Tournament showed a profit of £122/1/0.
The election of officers resuMd as follows: Patron, Mr V. C./Hollis; president, Mr R. H. Feisst; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. H. Yolland, J. R. Haworth; secretary, Mr JD. J. Paterson; treasurer, Mr B.yMcLean; club captain, Mr B. Reilly/ground superintendents, Mfessrs iv. Beer, W. Kehely, J. Ravi S.yfhomas and K. Keyte; comnltte/ Messrs C. Paterson, Miss Jr"Uummings, Miss L. Brock, Messrs C. Paterson, K. Beer, A. Turney; delegates to Cambridge sub-association, Messrs A. Turney and J. R. Haworth; ladder secretary, Mr B. Reilly.
A donation of buttons for competition among junior members was made by Mr B. Reilly. The opening day was fixed for October 4, and a working bee will be held a week earlier.
Tennis clubs holding their annual meetings are requested to forward reports to the Independent Office. As well as being of interest to members the publication of executive officers will enable the various clubs to know with whom to make contact when competition matches are commenced.
