Film for Farmers. There as a large attendance of farmers in the Roto-o-rangi Hall cn Tuesday evening, when the technicolour film “Science of Milk Production,” was presented by Mr H. B. Lowry, technical officer of the New Zealand Dairy Board. Those present agreed that they had seen something well worth while. An Unpleasant Experience. Last Saturday afternoon two Cambridge residents were returning from Hamilton after attending the Hamil-ton-Cambridge football match. After turning into the No. 1 Station Road and having proceeded along some 75 yards, the two men observed several horses on the road in the distance. It soon became obvious that the horses were on the move and the driver of the car remarked, “we had better stop; you never know what they’ll do.” As the horses approached closer three were in front, two on the side of the road and one galloping along the'bitumen. As this animal got within a distance of about 25 yards the car had almost come to a stop. It had been expected that .the animal would sheer off from the vehicle, but it was obvious as it came close that it was in a very distressed condition, and after veering to the left it suddenly changed direction and came straight at the car,, At the last moment it veered off a little, but; one leg or hoof struck the front mudguard and made a considerable dent in it. ; The animal careered on its way leaving .behind two badly shaken motorists. The three horses were portion of a number that had got away from the saleyards vicinity.
