TWO FROM FIJI FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND WELLINGTON, Tiffs Day. The Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, stated yesterday that two Lockheed Hudson bomber reconnaissance aircraft, with 14 members of the R.N.Z.A.F., are reported missing on a transit flight from Fiji to New Zealand. A wide search has been carried out in difficult weather conditions, but so- far no trace of the missing fliers has been found. The missing men are from various parts of New Zealand, but none are from the Waikato. The two aircraft were part of a formation of seven Hudsons which left Fiji early on Sunday morning. After completing half the route they ran into very thick weather. They then separated in accordance with procedure.
