MEN’S CONFERENCE

ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH WAR AND PEACE Mr J. Snell, M.A., L.L.8., who is the honorary Dominion organiser of the Church of England Men’s Society, will be spending the weekend in Cambridge. Mr Snell, who has recently retired from a very responsible position in the public service, is now giving his time, and paying his own expenses on a Dominion wide tour 9:1 behalf of this Society. He is a very fluent speaker and the conference, which is to be held in the old Parish Hall on Saturday is being attended by clergy and laity from all parts of the Waikato diocese. The Bishop of Waikato, who is a patron of the'society in New Zealand, will be at the conference. The subject for discussion will be “War and Peace,” and it will be introduced by Mr Snell. On Sunday night in the Parish Church Mr Snell will be preaching. The service will take the form of a men’s rally.
